I haven't blogged much lately. I just haven't felt like it. I don't know if it's just because we haven't been doing things picture worthy or if it's because my mind has been in a hundred different places lately..... It's no secret to those who know me that sometimes I happen to be a glass is half empty kinda gal. I wish I wasn't, but I am. I often envy those who see the world through rose colored glasses, and those who are so motivated in life. I'm not a perfect wife or mother. I sometimes don't like to cook and more often than not my house is a mess. I get grouchy and moody, and sometimes just down right unpleasant! I'm starting to think winter plays a role in my feeling this way. Life is stressful, it's rarely perfect. There are always decisions to make, people to please and bills to pay. Even when I get this way, I know Donny is always there to pull me out of it. I'm so thankful for him. He truly is the best.
I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm just in a funk.......I'll get back on the positive blogging train here soon enough. Sometimes I just need to wallow. I don't really know why I'm blogging about it. I usually just keep it to myself, but maybe someone else feels it too sometimes and needs to hear we're not all perfect all the time....sometimes we get down. I'm grateful for family. I'm grateful for the Gospel. Even when we feel like life is a half empty glass, the savior is there to hear our plea. We are never alone. We are children of a Heavenly Father who loves us. I'm thankful to be a part of an eternal family. Here's to things looking up!

Sledding in 6 degree weather anyone?
We finally got a little snow! So we got a sled at Target Friday night and headed out to the hills Saturday morning. I'll tell you, from the window it looked really nice and sunny out, but OOH WEE it was cold. Tate was loving being pulled through the parking lot, but wasn't so keen on the hill. The snow is so dry and and fluffy here that it doesn't stick. So going down the hill the snow sprayed in Tate's face. He had a melt down and didn't want to do it again. I just pulled him around the field for a while. Mostly he just wanted to play some snow soccer with Dustin. His little face was so red and cold so we weren't out long. The funniest thing was when we were pulling him up the street he started to lean back and slowly fell over on his back, but kept his legs and feet in perfect sitting position and kept his leg straight up in the air until I sat him up again. It was so funny. I think he was unsure what he was suppose to do. Funny Boy!
Tate is saying ball in this picture. If this kid has a ball, life is good.

A walk in Minnesota in January?
I can hardly believe it myself. Last week we had some unbelievable weather. Who heard of 40's and 50's in January in Minnesota. We had a day of a high of 52 and we took advantage of it. We went for a walk around Como lake, and well, on Como Lake. It was beautiful, the sun was warm on my face and the air fresh! I could get use to a winter like this. The lake was frozen over and the guys were having a great time walking on it, poking it with sticks and throwing rocks. It was a good day!

Wondering where we've been?
I love the holiday season! We spent ours this year in Utah. Luckily we got to spend time with both families. We spent a week with the Bingham clan in Midway first. I'm sorry to say I don't have any pictures of that time. I brought my camera, but the wrong charger, so sadly my camera was dead for the trip! We snatched a few from Ellery's camera from our time with the Baum family.
We did a lot of ice skating over the break, and had a blast. We went twice with my family and once with the Baums. Aaron and Kens got some great footage of it, which I don't have but here are a few pics.
I did snap a few pics prior to packing!
Tate loves his cousin Maycie. Here they are watching a little Mickey Mouse
We had a fantastic Christmas day with the Baums. Katie and Jase and their family came from Cananda. The kids had so much fun together. Tate and Jude were good little buddies before the trip was over.

On Koston's due date we went to his grave site to put some flowers on his grave. I wanted Tate to see it, even though I know he is too little to remember or know the significance of it all. I just felt like I wanted him to have a connection with Koston.
On one of the last days we went bowling at Provo Beach. It was really fun.
Over all a great Trip! We are so blessed! I love our families. We miss them so much all ready!
Here's a last little goody I just had to put in here. It's just too good to leave out!
