Like two peas in a pod

Tate and I are up in Montana, where we are spending the majority of our summer while Donny is in Manila. The first week we were here we got to spend some quality time with Tate's only Bingham cousin Maycie. They had such a good time together. Tate absolutely loves her! They copied everything each other did. Tate thought she was so funny, he was laughing at her all day. It was so sweet. We were sad for her to go home. Tate was grumpy for about two days after she left, and Maycie went home requesting baths with Tate.

Maycie enjoyed feeding Tate too. She would do "bit for Tate, bite for Maycie". Tate is a really good eater and got Maycie eating great as well. She wanted to eat anything Tate was eating.

Gammy and Grandad were loving having both grandchildren together at their house.

We got to spend the weekend up in Kalispell for Dustin's soccer tournament. It was cold but a lot of fun. Tate adores Dustin, I was trying to hold him for this picture, but he kept reaching for Dustin to hold him. I think these two deserve each other!

For anyone who has been following Donny's trip so far, he is feeling much better. I talked to him this morning and he sounded much happier and said he was feeling almost back to himself. Thanks for every one's thoughts and prayer on Donny's behalf. He is doing well at work and is now really getting into it. His roommate arrived on Sunday which has been really nice. Now he's not so lonesome. Donny said he is very optimistic and fun and if you can believe it two inches taller than Donny. I'm sure those two are a sight to see walking around Manila. Donny said he might even do some of his own posts on the blog so keep an eye out.

Tate's walking!

There is no stopping him now! We got to Montana on Wednesday and by Thursday he just took off. I think he just needed the extra space to really get going! He's getting so good he can go across the whole room without falling. He sure makes me nervous though. Oh and Tate doesn't wear these pj's every night. He just happens to be wearing them in the videos I've posted.

We're officially Twins fans.

We got the opportunity to go to a Twins game before we left for the summer. It happened to be really hot and humid that day, so it was nice not to have to bundle up. Unfortunately it rained and the game was delayed almost 2 hours, which with Tate wasn't the greatest, but we had a great time.

A couple of the missionaries in our ward got special permission to go to the game with us. It was really fun to have them come. They are really fun, cute little guys.

Donny couldn't have been a prouder dad to take his son to his first ball game. He even promised to hold him the whole time, (I wasn't too excited to take Tate to a night game). He ended up doing really well. He was also a big hit. They put him on the big screen once and then our whole family got to play the 7th inning game. People give babies a lot of attention outside of Utah.

Tate zonked out for about and hour during the game. It was way past his bedtime. It was fun to do something fun in the middle of all the craziness of getting ready to leave for the summer. Now I'm in Montana and Donny is far far away in Manila.

Trip to Bremerton

Tate and I spent last week in Washington visiting Stacie and Whitney. We had so much fun! It was so nice to see them and spend some time together. And of course Tate had a grand ol' time destroying their house.
One of the sunny days we went to Port Townsend. We walked around the shops and soaked up some sun.

We ate at this restaurant. Best fish and chips I've ever had. Poor Tate, the sun was so bright!

We were fortunate to have a few sunny days while we were there. One of those days we went to a light house and sat on the beach.
Tate found the sand to be very interesting. At first he didn't know what to do with it. He put his hands in it and it stuck all over his sweaty little hands, he was just looking at his hand and then trying to eat it. After a while he figured out it wasn't so good to eat and was just playing in it.
This is how most if the week went, Stacie attacking Tate. After a few days he got use to it.
Tate wants to run every where! As you can see here, as long as he has hold of one hand he is running. He loved the beach and the sand.

Tate always has his feet crossed when he is sitting. Stacie and Whit thought it was so funny. If you uncross them, he will just recross them. I love that in this picture I have mine crossed too. Tate was loving all the time he got to spend playing with Stace and Whit's blackberries. He was very busy texting his friends back home and surfing the web.
Tate was hard at work every minute we spent at the house, unloading all the DVDs. It's a good thing they have a lot of them, it sure kept him busy! I'm so glad Stace and Whit are laid back and let Tate play with anything he wanted. He is now crawling so fast and was into everything! Tate can take about 4 steps on his own now before falling. I'll try and get a video of it to post soon.
This was taken the day we left. Tate had finally warmed up to the girls the last couple of days we were there, so they were sad to see him go. Stacie had worked that night and was passed out and I guess Tate was pretty tired too after our fun filled trip.
