Our wild man is mobile!

Tate is crawling! We've known he could do it for some time now, but he would never do it if he knew we were watching. Today we enticed him with some cheese and that got the ball rolling. Also not filmed here, believe it or not Tate took two steps today on his own. His landing wasn't so great but he did it.

Kickin that cabin fever

It has been feeling like spring....... or at least it was last week. Today it is snowing outside, but I don't want to think about that. Tate and I got to get out for some much needed fresh air. We went on walks everyday last week. Tate loves to be outside, in fact he throws a fit when we have to come in.
Tate couldn't stop smiling the whole time. I think it was partly because he was so happy to be outside and partly because the sun was too bright for his baby blues, so he was pulling a scrunchy face.

As you can see from this picture Tate is getting lots of teeth. He has six in and two more on the way. Poor kid!
He had loads of fun in the grass, he was picking it and throwing it and of course trying to eat it.
He's a very independent little guy. He already wants to do everything on his own. He likes to stand on his own and tries to walk on his own. Which by the way hasn't worked out so well for him so far. He at this moment has three different bruises on his forehead. He has no fear! He'll fall and get hurt and then stand right back up and do it again!
He gets board easily and just sitting in the stroller wasn't enough stimulation for him. He kept trying to get out and climb up the back to get to me, so I had to give him my keys to play with. He always has to have something to keep him occupied if he has to just sit. We often laugh about how he should have been BJ's son.

Macy's flower show

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Macy's flower show in downtown Minneapolis. We had a great time with our friends. It was beautiful and a nice way of welcoming the spring.

As you can see Tate is a true blue boy! This is his reaction to a night of flowers.

My new fabulous diaper bag

My other diaper bag just wasn't working out, the handles were constantly falling off my shoulder and it was too tall and skinny. So I decided I would make my own to get what I really wanted. It turned out great! I love it! It can snap on to the stroller or can be worn as a messenger bag. It has 4 pockets inside and one on the back on the outside. I really loving using my new sewing machine and love trying new projects.

Laughter is the best medicine

This is Tate's new favorite face. Super cheese! He does it all the time, when he's excited, sometimes between every bite, and when he wants you to think he's funny. It usually comes with the sound effect of him breathing really fast in and out his nose.

Ok, so I want you to watch this video with your eyes closed and just listen to Tate laughing, that way it will be much cuter. But if you do watch it with your eyes open which I'm sure most of you will, just try and watch Tate....as to not focus on me acting crazy to get him to laugh. Although surprisingly enough he is really easy to make laugh. He's my best customer! I can tell already this kid has got a great sense of humor.

We are starting to think Tate will walk before he crawls! All he wants to do is stand or be holding on to us or anything he can walk around with. He's not very steady yet, but he sure is fast! Especially "right out of the gate" as Donny would say. He screams and arches his back if you try to sit him down. This Boy was born to stand/run!
