Missing my Donny!

Donny has been in Manila for 6 weeks now. I wish I could say it doesn't seem like it's been that long, but I can't, because it has felt much much longer! I don't want to get to sappy or anything, but I don't know what we were thinking being apart for 8 weeks! I miss him like crazy. So, because I've been thinking about him non-stop, I thought I would do a post for him. I was looking at past pictures of us and wanted to post just a few pictures over the last 4 years. We have the best time when we are together. I can't wait for him to get home! I miss him making me laugh everyday, and so much more. I love you Donny!

Summer Fun!

Dustin graduated. Yay! Doesn't he look nice? I guess this is how they do it in Montana. It's been raining pretty much everyday we've been here, but it cleared up for graduation weekend. It was so nice.

Tate didn't last long. Poor guy it was so hot and graduation was right in the middle of his nap.
Linus is here for a month just for a visit. He also graduated this year. He still has some Bengal pride.

We went down to Utah for a week. We had so much fun visiting family. Maycie had her birthday party while we were there. She turned 2. I can't believe she is getting so big!

The kids love Granddad of course!
Maycie had a mickey mouse clubhouse cake. Kensie made it, she did a great job!
Tate loved the pool. He wanted to get in all by himself. He is so brave and has no fear at all. We had to keep a close watch on him.
Love her! She is really into Mickey Mouse these days, if you can't tell.

Grandpa Greg took the kids on a wagon ride. They loved it. Maycie held tight to her purse the whole way. Tate was standing and feeling the wind on his bald head.
Just chilin reading his paper.
Tate with little Ellie. Notice they have the same binky. That was very confusing for Tate he kept trying to take it from her. He only succeeded once in getting her binky out of her car seat. I noticed he had this pretty little binky clip hanging in front of him. She is so adorable. We are all in love with her.

Tate is a busy, busy boy! He spends most of the day unloading the kitchen drawers and cabinets, chasing Daisy and getting into her food and water, and finding any kind of mischief he can get his hands on.
This is Tate's Montana summer outfit. As you can tell it is still quite chilly here! Brr!!! He looks like he could be a homeless baby begging for food.
We put Dust's ball bag on Tate and he loved it. He wore it around for a least and hour until his foot got all tangled up in the straps. He looked so cute. Kinda like a turtle with a green shell.
Oh no he's doing stairs. I walked out of the kitchen this morning and Tate was already up 3 stairs! As of yesterday he hadn't been interested in tying them. He's all over the place and trying new things everyday.

Like two peas in a pod

Tate and I are up in Montana, where we are spending the majority of our summer while Donny is in Manila. The first week we were here we got to spend some quality time with Tate's only Bingham cousin Maycie. They had such a good time together. Tate absolutely loves her! They copied everything each other did. Tate thought she was so funny, he was laughing at her all day. It was so sweet. We were sad for her to go home. Tate was grumpy for about two days after she left, and Maycie went home requesting baths with Tate.

Maycie enjoyed feeding Tate too. She would do "bit for Tate, bite for Maycie". Tate is a really good eater and got Maycie eating great as well. She wanted to eat anything Tate was eating.

Gammy and Grandad were loving having both grandchildren together at their house.

We got to spend the weekend up in Kalispell for Dustin's soccer tournament. It was cold but a lot of fun. Tate adores Dustin, I was trying to hold him for this picture, but he kept reaching for Dustin to hold him. I think these two deserve each other!

For anyone who has been following Donny's trip so far, he is feeling much better. I talked to him this morning and he sounded much happier and said he was feeling almost back to himself. Thanks for every one's thoughts and prayer on Donny's behalf. He is doing well at work and is now really getting into it. His roommate arrived on Sunday which has been really nice. Now he's not so lonesome. Donny said he is very optimistic and fun and if you can believe it two inches taller than Donny. I'm sure those two are a sight to see walking around Manila. Donny said he might even do some of his own posts on the blog so keep an eye out.

Tate's walking!

There is no stopping him now! We got to Montana on Wednesday and by Thursday he just took off. I think he just needed the extra space to really get going! He's getting so good he can go across the whole room without falling. He sure makes me nervous though. Oh and Tate doesn't wear these pj's every night. He just happens to be wearing them in the videos I've posted.

We're officially Twins fans.

We got the opportunity to go to a Twins game before we left for the summer. It happened to be really hot and humid that day, so it was nice not to have to bundle up. Unfortunately it rained and the game was delayed almost 2 hours, which with Tate wasn't the greatest, but we had a great time.

A couple of the missionaries in our ward got special permission to go to the game with us. It was really fun to have them come. They are really fun, cute little guys.

Donny couldn't have been a prouder dad to take his son to his first ball game. He even promised to hold him the whole time, (I wasn't too excited to take Tate to a night game). He ended up doing really well. He was also a big hit. They put him on the big screen once and then our whole family got to play the 7th inning game. People give babies a lot of attention outside of Utah.

Tate zonked out for about and hour during the game. It was way past his bedtime. It was fun to do something fun in the middle of all the craziness of getting ready to leave for the summer. Now I'm in Montana and Donny is far far away in Manila.
